Cousins, Esben Christoffersen and Rune Vigil established the Danish furniture company Eberhart Furniture in 2014. Growing up together they spent their school holidays in their grandfather’s well-assorted workshop and this is where the seeds of Eberhart were sown. Their grandfather was a reputable architect and carpenter and his knowledge about the execution of quality craftsmanship was passed on to Esben and Rune.
The philosophy of Eberhart is to make furniture where natural materials and clean lines come together to make strong furniture, which become more beautiful with age. All products are made in Denmark and made by craftsmen who enjoy making quality furniture.
Eberhart exhibited at northmodern for the first time during the last northmodern fair, which took place on August 18th-20th 2016. Eberhart talks about their experience at the fair below:
“Since we introduced Eberhart Furniture in 2014 we have attended several smaller fairs. This year though, we wanted to be represented at a larger fair and northmodern seemed to be the right choice for us in regards to the stage of the development of our brand. We were represented in the Emerging area surrounded by dedicated designers and creative projects. During the fair we really benefitted from discussing the furniture field with both established and upcoming brands – An inspiring space which we can definitely recommend to other emerging designers at next year’s fair. Besides adding new specific dealers to our products we came home with new very relevant and like-minded contacts, which we will use in the development of Eberhart in the time to come. A lot of our work the past months have evolved around northmodern. At the fair we held several different meetings and met with dealers that we have been in close dialogue with for some time. There is a certain dynamic and intense atmosphere at northmodern, which makes it an ideal place to meet with clients and future dealers. We are looking forward to attend northmodern again.”
northmodern looks forward to welcoming Eberhart back at the new annual fair on May 9th-11th 2017.
